Monofilament wigs

Considered the most natural looking of all the various types of wig, the monofilament type is wefted with an inset of transparent micro-mesh at the crown into which synthetic fibre or human hair is hand-tied. In other words, the bare skin shows through, giving the appearance of hair growing from a real scalp.

Also known as ‘medical wigs’, monofilament wigs were first developed for those women who experienced significant hair loss as a result of chemotherapy, alopecia, or other medical reasons.
